In 2012 I gave up my desk job and discovered the fun of birding.

Why are birds so appealing?  They're everywhere, they're colorful, cute, amazingly well adapted to their niche, fun to identify, it's thrilling to find a "new" bird and even better to get a good photo.  And.....they can fly!

But best of all I get outdoors, find new parks and trails, get exercise walking and meet fellow birders.
